Josh Hodeda, CPA
Prior to co-founding Ingenious Asset Group, Josh was the Controller and Director of Receiverships & REO Property Management at one of Southern California's Top 20 Real Estate firms. Josh oversaw all corporate, property and real estate entity accounting as well as management takeover of new assets. As the director of receiverships, Josh oversaw all receivership matters for over 100 receivership cases involving large and small financial institutions, special servicers, private note buyers and private equity firms for all asset classes including multifamily, retail, office and industrial properties. Josh's extensive experience of court procedures & reporting, receivership court orders, property takeover and accounting brings a unique blend of skills that strengthens the Ingenious' executive team.
Josh was a supervising senior associate with KPMG, LLP, a big 4 public accounting and audit firm. During his time at KPMG, he oversaw audits of various real estate firms including REITs, multi-family, commercial, home builders and other real estate asset classes. Subsequent to KPMG, Josh spent time with Alexandria Real Estate Equities, A publicly traded REIT specializing in laboratory office space, in their finance and accounting department.
Josh earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Arizona and holds an active California Certified Public Accountant's license. As a licensed California Certified Public Accountant and former auditor, Josh is well versed in financial statement analysis and review as well as forensic accounting techniques and investigation.
